Biography of the founder

Umar Danilo Aly

 Umar Danilo Aly is a specialist in development, public policy, and strategic partnerships, with international experience in Africa, Asia, and the United States. His work focuses on building systemic solutions to development challenges, with a particular emphasis on education, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth in emerging economies.


He is the founder of UGP (Umar & Global Partners), a consulting and strategic partnership facilitation platform that operates at the intersection of governments, international investors, and local stakeholders. UGP structures and supports high-impact initiatives in education, economic development, and strategic sectors such as energy, mining, logistics, and infrastructure, focusing on creating sustainable and inclusive value.


Furthermore, he serves as a Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Mozambique, where he contributes to the design and strengthening of strategic initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, institutional innovation, and aligning public policies with national development priorities.


Throughout her career, she has worked with academic institutions, international organizations, and development programs in multiple countries, leading projects focused on educational transformation, youth empowerment, and strengthening innovation ecosystems.


 With an international academic background in entrepreneurship from the African Leadership Academy, a degree in Economics and Innovation from Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University, a master's degree in International Development and Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and cross-sectoral professional experience, Umar positions himself as a bridge-builder between local and global systems, combining strategic vision, technical knowledge, and multi-sectoral articulation skills to promote structural transformation in development contexts.
